Workshops for the Professors

International Schools Association

Assalam International School ->
Intangible Cultural Heritage

We had two workshops for the professors but these were not the first ones we had so far. First one was about the first aid before. This time, professors got the opportunity to learn about a method called Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) used in education which can give them an understanding of holistic educational methods and also by implementing it the pupils can appreciate their own traditions, heritage and various backgrounds of their classmates. Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) was the topic of the other workshop presented by a psychotherapist and she covered how to identify the symptoms of it and deal with the students with ADHD. Being aware of the symptoms are important because while lacking the information about it could cause the kids with ADHD lose the track of what their friends learned but having the knowledge about it can empower teachers to treat kids with ADHD accordingly.
