At Agora Portals International School, we believe education creates its greatest impact when learning connects directly with the real world. That vision comes to life through REblue, a sustainability initiative designed and led by our Year 9 students that is already making a difference in the local community.
Developed in collaboration with Puerto Portals, the project introduces a simple but meaningful concept:
“Borrow, play, return.”
Through shared beach toy stations, families and visitors can borrow toys, enjoy them at the beach and return them afterwards, helping reduce unnecessary plastic consumption and encouraging more sustainable habits in a tourist environment.
Beyond its environmental impact, REblue has allowed students to develop essential skills including creativity, teamwork, leadership and problem-solving while working on a project with genuine community value.
Inspired by a similar initiative shared by students from a fellow Globeducate school in Cyprus during a visit to Agora Portals last year, REblue reflects the international and collaborative spirit that defines both our school and the wider Globeducate community.
The project was brought to life by the student team “Ambassadors of Tomorrow” — Gabriela, Amaia, Helena, Fiona, Milla and Farah — whose work demonstrates how young people can become true agents of change when education goes beyond the classroom.
At Agora Portals International School, we are proud to empower students to create initiatives that not only raise awareness, but also leave a positive mark on their environment and community.
