The fifth edition of Swostishree Gurukul Model United Nations (SGMUN 5.0) successfully concluded on June 21, 2026, bringing to a close three inspiring days of debate, collaboration, and meaningful dialogue.
Hosted by Swostishree Gurukul IB Continuum School, this year’s conference welcomed 210+ delegates from 30+ schools across Nepal, creating a vibrant platform where young leaders came together to tackle pressing global challenges through diplomacy and cooperation.
From the opening ceremony to the final committee sessions, delegates immersed themselves in the spirit of the United Nations.
Committees evolved from opening speeches into dynamic discussions, where ideas were debated, resolutions were drafted clause by clause, and consensus was built through thoughtful dialogue, patience, and collaboration. The conference became more than a simulation—it was a practical lesson in leadership, negotiation, and collective problem-solving.
SGMUN continues to empower secondary school students by fostering critical thinking, public speaking, diplomacy, negotiation, and structured problem-solving—skills that extend far beyond the conference room and prepare young people for higher education and future leadership.
A heartfelt thank you to every delegate, faculty advisor, executive board member, organizing team, volunteer, and participating school for making SGMUN 5.0 an unforgettable success.
