FROSTY FRENZY WINTER GAMES

Intercultural Dialogue Through Sport

Join us for a week of winter games and engaging activities in Livigno! Schools worldwide come together to unite young people through sports and multicultural dialogue.
The event aims to promote the idea of how sports cultivate skills applicable in education, work, and life through cultural, sporting, competitive activities, and debates.

Throughout the week, students can engage in a diverse range of activities including sports, culture, and education, with designated times for socializing, relaxation, and shopping.

Students have the option to participate in:

  • skiing (alpine and cross-country)
  • swimming
  • curling
  • ice-skating
  • educational walks or electric cycling, among others

All under the supervision of experienced coaches. Additionally, they can join local teams to practice football, volleyball, or basketball.

Venue

A'KSENT SUISSE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

It is a private institution in Italy that prioritizes individualized education for students, whether they are athletes, artists, or musicians.

Their core values are a passion for life and a commitment to achieving excellence in education at all levels. They offer a globally recognized diploma equivalent to high school graduation through the Cambridge Pathway model, providing access to universities worldwide.

Operating for four years in Lecco, they recently expanded to Chiasso. A key feature of their approach is native-speaking teachers in English, Spanish, Chinese, German, and Italian

The school was founded to address the challenges faced by student-athletes and those in the arts and music, who often struggle to balance their commitments. A’ksent Academy supports students’ athletic pursuits while maintaining high academic standards. Students choose subjects aligned with their interests and desired university paths. After exams, they receive an international Cambridge diploma, with a personalized four-year program.

Navigating High Peaks and Sustainable Snow Strategies in this Winter Wonderland

Livigno, a duty-free municipality exempt from taxes like VAT, has been a flourishing tourist destination since the 1950s. The high-altitude resort, nestled at 1816 meters with ski slopes reaching 2800 meters, ensures natural snow conditions, occasionally augmented by artificial snow. Despite its strong tourist appeal, Livigno tackles global warming challenges with innovative snow management, including a snow farm to preserve winter snow for reuse.

Chosen for testing Prosnow’s instruments, the town pioneers precise weather forecasts for sustainable artificial snow production. Divided into Mottolino and Carosello 3000, Livigno plans to unify these districts, enhancing its allure as a premier skiing destination.
