The Year 10 students of the Agora Lledo International School in Castellon (Spain) took part in an activity to celebrate the UN International Mother Language Day. The language that is spoken in this part of Spain is Valencian.
Valencian is an Indo-European language with origins from Latin and French that has also been referred to as Western Catalan for its similarities to Catalan spoken in Catalonia just north-west from Castellon.
The students made calligrams to express their ideas through poetry and storytelling about the use of their mother language.
