Zanzibar, the island of spices
We organized May school trip for children to learn about different kind of spices in the spices farms at Kijichi. This was the second school trip we’ve done so far this term which involved both nursery and primary school students. What is mesmerizing is that Zanzibar is known with various spices.
We can call Zanzibar as spice island. We learned about a variety of spices, fruits and herb teas. It was a great experience to taste and observe different kind of spices, fruits and having information about the spices. Learning about different types of spices and herb teas will likely to expand students’ knowledge of natural ingredients and how to use them.
