Agora Sant Cugat International School from September 2025

International Schools Association

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new programme here in Agora Sant Cugat International School – the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Performing Arts, created in partnership with EÒLIA, Centre Superior d’Art Dramàtic. Starting in September 2025, this is the first IB Performing Arts programme of its kind in Catalonia and we are very excited!

This is not just about studying acting or theatre; it is about giving students a space to grow – artistically, academically and personally. The programme combines the academic rigour of the IB Diploma, recognised by universities all over the world, with a high-quality performing arts education led by real professionals from the world of theatre, music and film.

Students will take subjects like Theatre, Literature & Music and will work on creative projects in actual performance spaces, rehearsal rooms and studios in our new pre-university campus in Sant Cugat. It is a hands-on, inspiring and truly international education designed for students with a passion for the stage – whether they are dreaming of a career in the arts or simply want to build confidence, creativity and communication skills that will serve them for life.

To celebrate the launch of the programme, we recently hosted a special round table event in our School Auditorium. The evening brought together well-known voices from the worlds of education, culture and the performing arts, including Nina, Josep Galindo, Rosa Galindo, Carme Ardit, Maria Farriol with Leticia Sauter and Jordi Ros as moderators. Together, they reflected on the power of artistic education today and the importance of helping young people become expressive, thoughtful and brave.

The message was clear – young people need the arts more than ever. They need space to tell their stories, move their bodies, raise their voices and learn how to connect deeply with themselves and others.

We cannot wait to welcome the first generation of our IBDP in Performing Arts students this September 2025.
