During the winter break, Swostishree Gurukul IB World School organized educational trips for its MYP students, providing rich learning experiences beyond the classroom through culture, nature, and community engagement.

MYP Year I students visited Sauraha, Chitwan and Lumbini, where they experienced Tharu culture, observed traditional fishing methods, enjoyed local cuisine, and participated in jungle safari and canoeing. In Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, students explored the birthplace of Lord Buddha and visited international monasteries, deepening their understanding of history and peace.

MYP Year II students traveled to Pokhara and Ghandruk, connecting classroom learning with real-life experiences through community interaction, cultural exploration, and sustainability-focused activities linked to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The trip strengthened students’ inquiry, reflection, and collaboration skills.

MYP Year III students undertook the Poon Hill trek as part of an interdisciplinary learning experience. The journey developed perseverance, resilience, and teamwork while highlighting the connection between physical activity, mental well-being, and nature.

These winter trips reflected the school’s commitment to holistic education, blending learning, adventure, and personal growth to create lasting educational experiences.
