Our 2nd-year National Baccalaureate students had the privilege of immersing themselves in a unique educational experience during their visit to two exceptional exhibitions by two great geniuses of art history: Pablo Picasso and Joaquín Sorolla. At the Picasso exhibition, the students explored a creative universe comprising over 300 works, including oil paintings, drawings, engravings, and illustrated books. The exhibition delved into the theme of the painter and his model, offering an intimate and masterful reflection on the years Picasso shared with Jacqueline Roque. Meanwhile, the “Sorolla Through Light” exhibition captivated our students with an expanded selection of 45 original canvases dated between 1890 and 1920. Each painting allowed them to closely admire Sorolla’s ability to capture the light and essence of the Mediterranean, encouraging reflection on art and its connection to the world around them.
