El pasado 10 de febrero, el Colegio Internacional Casa Azul acogió un taller de Educación Socrática con IA, dirigido al alumnado de 4º y 6º de Primaria. La actividad estaba centrada en acercar a los niños y niñas a una metodología innovadora que integra la inteligencia artificial desde un enfoque diferente. Una visión que no persigue respuestas inmediatas, sino que busca estimular el pensamiento crítico a través de preguntas, retos y pistas guiadas.
Durante la sesión el alumnado trabajó con AIDIN, la IA Socrática, una herramienta educativa diseñada para plantear enigmas y acompañar el proceso de aprendizaje mediante el diálogo y la reflexión
Lejos de un uso pasivo de la tecnología, el taller invitó a los niños y niñas a formular hipótesis, contrastar ideas y construir respuestas propias, fomentando la autonomía intelectual y la participación activa.
Cada grupo contó con una sesión adaptada a su nivel, combinando contenidos de Ciencias y Pensamiento Computacional con dinámicas prácticas y retos colaborativos. Esta experiencia permitió comprobar cómo la integración de la IA puede enriquecer el aprendizaje cuando se pone al servicio de una pedagogía estructurada y coherente.
La respuesta del alumnado fue especialmente positiva. Mostrando sorpresa al descubrir que la inteligencia artificial no les ofrecía directamente la solución, sino que les ayudaba a pensar de manera más profunda sobre los temas.
Asimismo, las familias pudieron desempeñar un papel activo en el taller, participando en las actividades y reforzando la idea de trabajo en equipo que impulsa el centro.
El Colegio Casa Azul continúa incorporando herramientas tecnológicas que refuerzan las competencias del siglo XXI. Más allá de las novedades tecnológicas, el taller puso el énfasis en lo esencial: aprender a pensar.
SOCRATIC AI: TECHNOLOGY IN SERVICE OF CRITICAL THINKING
On 10 February, the Casa Azul International School hosted a Socratic Education with AI workshop for pupils in Years 4 and 6 of primary school. The activity focused on introducing children to an innovative methodology that integrates artificial intelligence from a different perspective. This approach does not seek immediate answers, but rather aims to stimulate critical thinking through questions, challenges and guided clues.
During the session, students worked with AIDIN, the Socratic AI, an educational tool designed to pose puzzles and accompany the learning process through dialogue and reflection. Far from a passive use of technology, the workshop invited children to formulate hypotheses, compare ideas and construct their own answers, encouraging intellectual autonomy and active participation.
Each group had a session tailored to their level, combining science and computational thinking content with practical activities and collaborative challenges. This experience demonstrated how the integration of AI can enrich learning when it is used in a structured and coherent teaching approach.
The students’ response was particularly positive. They were surprised to discover that artificial intelligence did not offer them the solution directly, but rather helped them to think more deeply about the topics.
Families were also able to play an active role in the workshop, participating in the activities and reinforcing the idea of teamwork promoted by the school.
This initiative is part of the school’s commitment to educational innovation and the responsible incorporation of technological tools that reinforce 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, logical reasoning, problem solving and teamwork. Beyond the technological novelty, the workshop focused on the essential: learning to think.
