El Colegio Internacional Casa Azul ha conmemorado el Año Nuevo Chino, una de las festividades más importantes del calendario asiático. Este curso, se ha dado la bienvenida al Año del Caballo, símbolo de energía, determinación y prosperidad.
Esta celebración tradicional se extiende durante dos semanas y, en la cultura asiática, está marcada por encuentros familiares, decoraciones simbólicas y expresiones llenas de significado. Aunque este año coincide con el periodo de Carnaval, el centro ha reservado una jornada específica para celebrar y acercar al alumnado a la riqueza cultural que representa. A lo largo del día, las aulas se llenaron de rojo y dorado, colores asociados a la buena fortuna y la felicidad, a través de distintas actividades plásticas adaptadas a cada nivel educativo.
El alumnado de Infantil y 1º de Primaria elaboró linternas rojas con detalles dorados; 2º y 3º de Primaria confeccionó abanicos decorativos; 4º y 5º de Primaria diseñó máscaras de dragón; y 6º de Primaria pintó y decoró la figura del caballo, protagonista de este nuevo ciclo lunar. Todas las manualidades pudieron llevarlas a casa, compartiendo así la experiencia con sus familias.
Como ya es tradición, el dragón recorrió el patio central del colegio, en un momento especialmente esperado por el alumnado. Este desfile simboliza la fuerza, la protección y la buena fortuna para el año que comienza.
Dentro de su proyecto de internacionalización, el Colegio Casa Azul continúa promoviendo la educación intercultural y el respeto por las tradiciones de todo el mundo en todas las etapas. De este modo, fomenta en el alumnado la curiosidad, la apertura y la valoración de la diversidad cultural como parte esencial de su formación integral.
Celebrating Chinese New Year at Colegio Internacional Casa Azul
Colegio Internacional Casa Azul has celebrated Chinese New Year, one of the most important festivals in the Asian calendar. This year, the school welcomed the Year of the Horse, a symbol of energy, determination, and prosperity.
Traditionally, this festival lasts for two weeks and is marked by family gatherings, symbolic decorations, and meaningful cultural expressions. Although this year the date coincided with Carnival, the school dedicated a special day to honor the occasion and introduce students to the rich cultural heritage it represents. Throughout the day, classrooms were filled with red and gold, colors associated with good fortune and happiness, through a variety of creative activities tailored to each age group.
Early Childhood and 1st Grade students crafted red lanterns with golden details, 2nd and 3rd Grade made decorative fans, 4th and 5th Grade created dragon masks, and 6th Grade painted and decorated the horse, the central figure of this lunar cycle. All of these creations were taken home, allowing students to share the experience with their families.
As is tradition, the dragon parade moved through the school’s central courtyard, a highlight eagerly anticipated by the students. This performance symbolizes strength, protection, and good fortune for the year ahead.
Through this celebration, Colegio Casa Azul continues to advance its internationalization project, fostering intercultural education and respect for global traditions at every stage. In doing so, the school encourages curiosity, openness, and appreciation for cultural diversity as an essential part of holistic education.
