The American School of Las Palmas (ASLP) would like to invite ISA schools around the world to join us in a simple but powerful global celebration of United Nations Day 2026: “Turn the World Blue.”
As an ISA school, we are part of a community that crosses borders, languages, cultures and continents. Our idea is simple: each school celebrates its own identity while showing that we are all connected through one shared world.

- Give students a simple, positive way to connect with peers in other countries.
- Create a shared visual celebration of international education and community.
- Show students that their school is part of something much larger than itself.
- Take part without the need for a major event, special budget or complex organization.

Activity
On United Nations Day, schools around the world will share the same simple message. Students, teachers and staff wear blue, gather together and record a short 5–10 second video.
Each school asks the same question: “WHO ARE WE?” The answer begins with the school’s own identity — “ONE [SCHOOL NAME]!” — and then connects to something bigger: “ONE WORLD!”
The power of the campaign is its simplicity. One short video may take only a few seconds to create, but when videos from schools across the ISA community are brought together, those seconds become a powerful visual statement of international connection and belonging.

Rules & Recommendations
Video Format
Keep it simple. The video should be vertical and approximately 5–10 seconds long. A class, group, MUN team, student council or larger school group can take part.
From many schools to one global video
ASLP will collect the videos from participating ISA schools and edit them into one short global reel. The final video will move from school to school, country to country and continent to continent — showing different communities united by the same message. Each participating school will receive the completed video so that it can be shared through its own social media channels on United Nations Day, October 24, 2026.

Key Dates
By Friday, October 9 | Schools confirm participation with ASLP with Álex Hernández at al*********@***********************as.org |
Before Wednesday, October 21 | Schools record their video and send it to ASLP via WeTransfer or another agreed method. |
Wednesday, October 21 | Final deadline for ASLP to receive videos and complete the editing. |
Saturday, October 24 | United Nations Day — participating schools publish the completed global ISA video. |
What does your school need?

• A willingness to be creative and have fun.
• A way to send the video to ASLP by October 21.
