International Day of Education
On the occasion of International Education Day, schools are invited to participate in 5 different contests in which students and teachers can submit short videos according to the proposed theme.

Summary
For the International Day of Education, schools are invited to participate in 5 different contests where pupils and teachers can send short videos according to 5 themes:
"Teaching my Spoken Language"
"My Funny School Life"
“My Schooling Day”
“My School Breaks” or “My S-Cool Breaks”
“Relevant Figures for the Education”
Additionally, schools are invited to send a short video (out of contest), under the theme: - “Ask Your Teacher” just for general informative purposes.

- Contribute to the International Day of Education through a serie of activities where ISA’s member schools can join and share their views and perspectives
Programme
This is the proposed schedule to celebrate this day:
Event Opening
- Speech From Nika School Director. The importance of education (to reach equity, develop societies, etc.).
- Speech From Istanbul International School Director. The importance of education (to reach equity, develop societies, etc.).
- Speech From ISA representative (John Lees or Edgardo Manzitti).
Video Collection: “Ask Your Teacher”
ISA´s school teachers/pupils are asked to send short videos of no more than one minute. In those videos, pupils should ask questions to their teachers like: What do you think about your first school? Why did you choose to become a Teacher? What do you consider the most important thing in your work as a Teacher? etc.
Contest 1: “Teaching my Spoken Language”
ISA´s school teachers/pupils are asked to send short videos of no more than 5 minutes. In those 5 minutes, pupils should play the role of a language teacher. He/she can wear national-traditional dresses or special outfits.
Contest 2: “My Funny School Life”
ISA´s school teachers/pupils are asked to send short videos of no more than one minute. In those videos, pupils should be invited to tell jokes or anecdotes regarding their school lives. It can be done as a monologue.
Contest 3: “My Schooling Day”
ISA´s school teachers/pupils are asked to send short videos of no more than two minutes. In those videos, pupils should be required to film an average day in their lives, from the moment they wake up in the morning until they go to sleep but mainly emphasizing on their school moments.
Contest 4: “My School Breaks” or “My S-Cool Breaks”
ISA´s school teachers/pupils are asked to send short videos of no more than one minute. In those videos, pupils should be required to film how they spend breaks / spare time between lessons.
Contest 5: Relevant Figures for the Education
Pupils create a presentation about a figure relevant to education as it is today. In the contest pupils should give their vision, in a video of no more than one minute, how a perfect school would look like, how those figures influence in their schools, why they are important in the educational process, and so on. It can be combined with teachers talk about what education means to them and how do they teach as well. Referents in the world or in the pupils’ country are very welcomed. Examples of relevant figures in the world are:

- María Montesori
- Howard Gadner
- Salman Khan
- Andria Zafirakou
Event Closing
Online real time. From ISA representative (John Lees or Edgardo Manzitti) naming the winners in every contest and expressing ISA’s gratitude to all participants.
Rules
Schools can participate in all contests.
Videos can be send in English or in the language spoken in their country with subtitles in English.
Videos can be sent until January 20th 2023.
Contest winners should be announced in a closing real time event and in the landing page on January 24th 2023.

How to Participate
- Schools should do prior work with a group of students in order to participate effectively.
At least some idea of Human Rights across the world and a little bit of rhetorical/persuasive devices (not essential like the prior research).
- There could be listeners/ inactive guests.
