We have a full commitment to SDGs in cultivating global citizens and building a sustainable future for all
From vision to action
HISTORY
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries – developed and developing – in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.
THE GOALS
ISA and the SDGs
What we do
ISA actively supports the SDGs, through its Education for Sustainability program, which emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to shape a sustainable future, empowering learners to change their behavior and take action for sustainable development, and thus contributing to global sustainability challenges.
By integrating sustainability principles into their curriculum, ISA schools foster environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic viability.
By promoting Education for Sustainability, ISA ensures that future generations are equipped with the tools and mindset to address pressing global issues and work towards achieving the SDGs, thus paving the way for a more sustainable and inclusive world.
