Bringing young people from many different regions and cultures of the world is an important ISA activity. Tasking such young people with discussing and debating issues of global significance, which will require peaceful resolution through awareness and leadership in the future, is an important ISA contribution to global understanding and action.
Our ISA member school, Cempaka, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is organizing this year’s Youth Encounter and Expedition between November 15th programme will give participants an unparalleled opportunity to experience the culture and historical significance of Malacca, Malaysia.
ISA is proud to be co-sponsoring the ‘Building World-Class Private and International Schools – Summit 2013, which is being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between November 19th and 21st. This is an exciting new international summit, which will provide the unique opportunity to network, share ideas and benchmark progress with leaders of private schools and international schools from around the region. Drawing on case studies and practical examples from a range of educational institutions across the Asia-Pacific, this interactive and practical event will provide delegates with fresh perspectives and insights for enhancing the development of your school and pursuing the development of a world-class educational institution.
ISA is helping the British Council to promote its Internal School Award. The award is given to schools which follow a programme designed to embed internationalism and global awareness in their schools. The Award is currently moderated through local British Council offices, although there are plans to offer a distance learning option in the future.
